Ever Considered a Pharmacy Consulting Business? The Pharmapreneur Academy

There are minimal resources available for those interested in starting a pharmacy consulting business.  About a month ago, I had a question about using billing codes in an ambulatory clinic.  Blair was the first person I thought of to help me with this issue.  She didn’t hesitate in responding to my request to ask her a few questions.  She has always been kind to me, and I would like to help share her passion with all of my followers.
Blair has put together a wonderful E-course and created a unique resource for pharmacists that is near impossible to find anywhere else.  If you’re reading this post, you’re likely curious about becoming an independent consultant pharmacist and I believe Blair can help you.
Here’s a few questions that will give you more information about the course.
What will I learn in the E-course?

Lesson 1 – Skills and Mindset of the Entrepreneur and Business Building Tips
Lesson 2 – Options for Reimbursement for Pharmacy Clinical Services and Pricing Your Services
Lesson 3 – Identifying Your Target Market (Community Pharmacies, Physicians Groups, ACOs, Home Health, etc.)
Lesson 4 – Developing and Tailoring Your Marketing Strategy and “Pitch”
Lesson 5 – Training Support Staff Members to Support the Clinical Service Program
Lesson 6 – Bringing It All Together and Social Media Secrets
Lesson 7 – Chronic Care Management codes, Bundle payment reform (MACRA/MIPS) and Marketing your services to Physician Groups
Lesson 8 – Collaborative Practice Agreements, Pharmacotherapy MTM referrals and Transitional Care Management codes
Lesson 9 – Point of Care Testing, Rapid Diagnostic Testing and Pharmacogenomic Testing in the Community Pharmacy Setting
Is the course right for me?
Only if you are capable of devoting at least a few hours to working on the course and your business each day.  Only if you have the financial stability to try something new.  Only if you are invested enough and patient enough with your business that you are willing to work on growing it for at least 6 months.
Does the course teach who and how to approach consulting opportunities?  Does it give ways to bill and how much to charge?
The course is structured to help build your confidence, understanding of business and marketing/speaking skills.  The course will help you develop a plan that you can follow through with and apply to pretty much any consulting-type business.  I give general advice about what to charge for you services, and also ways to bill for pharmacist services, but pricing is highly dependent on what the market is comfortable with and the consultants level of experience.
There is no doubt that this is a substantial investment and Blair does offer a free 15 minute consultation call to answer any questions they may have about the course and to make sure it is a good fit for what you are trying to do.
Full disclosure: Blair has offered me a commission for anyone who signs up through my website.  I know and trust Blair and would not have made this offer available on my website if I didn’t.  If the course is a right fit for you, you can support Meded101 by clicking through the link below!
